Founded in 1986, The Rotary Club of Deerwood is a small group of influential people who make a significant impact in the community. The Club established Deerwood Rotary Charities, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, as its vehicle for raising and distributing charitable contributions that would support youth focused causes. The Club’s operational expenses are funded by the members and all charity monies raised go directly to the Club’s charitable recipients. Due to the power of the membership, the Club prides itself on its unrivaled ability to match, multiply and compound every dollar raised with members’ individual contributions, members in-kind contributions and solicitation of in-kind contributions from other persons and businesses in the community.
The youth of our community is the foundation of our future here in Jacksonville. By focusing our time and resources on this future generation, we can give everyone a bright outlook on the life that lies before them.
