For over 25 years, The Rotary Club of Deerwood has partnered with local schools to assist in the development of Interact Clubs. Interact Clubs bring together young people, ages 12-18, to develop leadership skills while discovering the power of “Service Above Self.” These Jr. Rotary clubs are a great way for youth in the community to make a difference, become leaders, and have fun in their school and community.
We currently support the Interact Club at Samuel W. Wolfson High School in Jacksonville. We hold a speech contest, provide mentoring opportunities, and host a breakfast meeting to recognize the scholar athletes with awards each year.
